The most highly decorated GDR member of all time, General Skorzeny is a man of legendary proportions in the pantheon of honoured team members. Initially joining the team during it's founding year as a private, Skorzeny steadily progressed up the ranks through his gaming skill, dedication to the team and unequalled leadership ability. Although his gaming skill is the stuff of legend, it is his friendship and dedication to members outside of the game that most GDR members recall with fondness. But like all good things, there must be an end. A rift finally developed in 2001 that caused a literal fracture between team members, and as a result General Skorzeny finally decided his active time in the GDR was over and he was honorably retired from the team. At the time of his retirement, General Skorzeny was (and still remains) the most decorated Team GDR member of all time, and also the highest permanent ranking team officer of all time.
